What Is a Tapkeen Token

A Token is a unique code that represents a Promise. A commitment you've made to gift Keencoins to someone for content they’ve created outside of Tapkeen.

When you create a Promise inside the Tapkeen app, you're selecting an amount of your Keencoins and linking them to a specific piece of external content (like a YouTube video or blog post). Once that’s done, Tapkeen generates a Token, this Token is how the recipient can later claim your Promise.

If someone placed a token on your content, it means they appreciated what you made and wanted to gift you something meaningful.

This page allows you to look up information about a Tapkeen Promise you’ve received.

Enter the token code below to see the promise value, who created it, and which content it’s linked to.

How to claim a promise

To claim the Keencoins linked to a Tapkeen Token, follow these steps:

Download and open the Tapkeen app.
Log in or create an account (if you’re new).
Open the side navigation menu (top-left icon or swipe from the left).
Select “Claim Request” from the menu.
Paste your Token in the input field and submit the request.

Once Approved, the token’s value in Keencoins will be added to your Tapkeen balance. You can keep them, use them to support other creators, or simply enjoy the recognition!

How promises are created

You can create a Promise when you want to reward content that inspired, helped, or moved you even if it's not on Tapkeen.

Here’s how it works:

In the Tapkeen app, go to your own profile.
Tap on the “Promised Keencoins” section.
Choose the amount of Keencoins you'd like to promise.
Paste the URL of the content you want to reward, for example, a YouTube video, an Instagram post, or a blog article that inspired or helped you.
Tap “Generate Token.”
Copy the generated token and share it. Paste it in a comment under their content, DM it, or send it however you like.

That’s it, the Promise is live, and the Token is now their key to claiming it.

Where Can I See My Promises

All the Promises you’ve created can be easily viewed and managed from your profile in the Tapkeen app.

In the Tapkeen app, go to your own profile.
Tap on the “Promised Keencoins” section.
You’ll see a full list of your Promises along with their key information.

If a Promise hasn’t been claimed yet, you can delete it from this list. Once deleted, the Keencoins will be credited back to your balance-it may take a short time to process.

This helps you keep track of all the promises you’ve made, with the ability to manage them when needed.
